Nut-Free Cookie Company Inc.

One determined mom and one smart cookie recipe, make a whole lot of sense.....

Driven by a passion for children and wholesome goodness, Jennifer Montoni has been the energy source behind the successful nut-free cookie company, Tickle Your Tummy.  Inspired by her daughter, Sophia, who has nut allergies, Jennifer decided that all children should have safe, healthy and wholesome treats to eat.   With determination and hard work, Tickle Your Tummy Nut Free Cookie Company was launched and continues to be successful year after year.  It is no surprise that Jennifer started not only a company, but a trend in the food industry.

With a history of asthma as a child, Jennifer spent time at Sick Kids Hospital and now understands that her life’s purpose would evolve into creating something significant for sick children.  “I was doing this before anyone understood the importance of controlling Nut-Free environments for children with allergies,” states Jennifer, who with conviction, is an advocate for increasing the awareness of anaphylactic conditions and supports organizations for children’s diseases. Business just keeps getting better now that schools and institutions are putting controls in place for Nut-Free environments.  Jennifer was ready, which only proves that she was way ahead of them, but delighted just the same.

Healthy lifestyle has always been important to Jennifer as she enjoys an active family life as well as music, art and reading.  Having balance for this busy mother of three is also important, as she makes sure to find time for yoga and physical activity.  Jennifer is also involved in her community and wants to give back to the charities and organizations that make life easier for anaphylactic and asthmatic children.  She says “I am especially keen to give back to Sick Kids Hospital which played a major part in my life as a sick kid.”

Jennifer always had an interest in recipes, cooking and baking, so after finishing at Bishops University where she studied Political Science and Music, she started taking courses at George Brown College in pastry and baking.  Being the creative and industrious type of person, it was a natural fit for Jennifer to create delicious, wholesome and nut free cookie recipes for her children to enjoy.   After taking an advanced course in wedding cake design, Jennifer started launching creative and fun designs for cookies and business just kept getting better. “I decided right from the start that this would be the first product that anaphylactic children could enjoy that was actually fun and beautiful and not something bland found in the health food isle” says Jennifer, with such conviction and warmth you know it comes from the heart.

With an ounce of luck, a bushel of determination and a whole lot of hard work, Jennifer continues to push forward, building a business with her heart and soul.  With all those incredible ingredients rolled into one, it is no surprise that Jennifer brings goodness, value and the most amazing product to her customers across North America.  Jennifer is proud of what she has accomplished and still knows that she has more to achieve.  “I believe in what I do, and that is where I get the inspiration from, every single day,” says Jennifer. With this kind of passion and constant motivation, it is no wonder she is one smart cookie.
